Top TEN ways to stay organized for school

Whether you are starting high school or going back to college, these are some helpful tips that i use to stay organized and on top of things at school.

1.First of all,  get yourself a good day planner
Electronic, paper or even a small sized calendar would work depending on your preference. I love to have something physical to write in (Especially if I get to use cute pens!)

2. Actually go to class
May seem like a given but how do you know what the testable material is on?

3. Take notes
I like to try and summarize and key in on important information, rather than attempt to write down everything

4. Rewrite notes that evening
Keeps everything neat and helps you remember and retain what you learned that day.

5. Come to class prepared.
Calculator, ruler, pens, notebooks, paper, pencils and other equipment you may need.|

6. Read slides ahead of time
So you have some idea as to what is going on

7. Wake up and make a plan
create a routine for you to wake up to, also prepares and reminds you of what you need to do during the day.

8. Use colour
No one likes boring notes!

9. Think before you highlight
Usually if i go all willy-nilly with the highlighter, I wind up highlighting non-important topics, so be stingy!

10. Set time aside for fun!
Everyone needs a break
