Introducing: The Planner.

 The Inspection

This little beauty is my very first day planner. I bought this Day One planner by Franklin Covey at Walmart for around $16. It took me a half hour to pick it out. It was chosen for practicality over pretty colours and I am quite happy with it.

I was looking for something that was small enough to fit in my purse, but had cover pockets and enough 'storage' space inside for sticky notes and tabs.

Here is what it looks like with the cover open. It came with the standard monthly view calender, address book pages, and a notes pages already punched and ready to be inserted. When I brought this home, I stared at it for a while. I had been frantically searching on Pinterest for the longest time before I bought the planner for ideas on how I could customize this so it suites me.

This is the side pocket. Room for cards, a zippered compartment and two parts for sliding in notes and keeping Post-Its.

At the back of the planner, there is a clear pouch which I am now keeping Post-It tabs in. Behind it is the pre-punched notes.

After Tackling it for a few hours.

Since the planner didn't come with a weekly view, I decided to pick up an agenda from the Dollarstore that was about the same size as my planner and stick it in there myself (rather than buying the inserts for ten dollars). I will admit that when I was hole punching the pages, I accidentally punched the wrong side and used Washi tape to hide it. I'm glad it turned out!

I also made a bunch of dividers since I actually want to use this as more than just an agenda. I used scrapbook paper and cardstock that I got from Micheals as well as Washi tape to border the dividers.

I am going to attempt to make the planner sort of Nautical themed, but usually when I try to make something themed it never turns out. I find another idea on Pinterest that i really like and it generally takes over.
